Known limitations in Clinical Trial exports

Known Limitation

If you have access to Alpha Exports you may notice that Clinical Trial exports are delivering more CSV files than you might expect.

Each CSV file has been structured to represent a single relationship. Because Outcome Measures and Eligibility Criteria are organized as groups (with parent and sub-headings), the export process treats these as distinct relationships, even though they all ultimately relate back to the individual clinical trials in your table.

As a result, when exporting a Clinical Trial table that includes Outcome Measures and Eligibility Criteria, you will receive a minimum of three CSV files, and potentially more depending on the additional data selected. These typically include:

• Clinical Trials

• Clinical Trials <> Outcome Measures

• Clinical Trials <> Eligibility Criteria

We are currently exploring ways to consolidate these into a single CSV file to simplify the exported files.
