Known limitations in Drug Target data
If you’re searching for Drug Targets, you’ll notice that they come from a number of different sources
Known Limitation
Our coverage of Drug Targets is based on information from the FDA, EMA, Health Canada, and published research.
In some cases, Drug Target data has come from external databases like Therapeutic Targets Database, and may be the single reference for a Drug Target.
Scheduled Improvements
The curation team is adding and updating targets and their references as information becomes available.
Workaround
In the meantime, you can view the references for targets to determine if they are sufficiently referenced for your needs.
Or, you can enable the AI Journal Reader in the Table Builder for expanded insights. The Journal Reader pulls data from PubMed using our proprietary AI, which is created and supported by our data team.
To add Journal Reader data to your table:
Select the Proteins or Drugs starting point
Toggle the Journal Reader on in the top right corner of the Table Builder
This will automatically add the Action Type column and expose Journal Reader data
Note: If you need more specific information we can provide quantification details upon request.
