Release Notes
Explore investigated conditions across all Table Builder starting points
Investigated Conditions column is now available across all starting points in Table Builder, giving you more visibility into the conditions for which a drug is currently being studied or has been studied in clinical trials. Add it alongside Indicated Conditions to compare approved uses with areas still under investigation. You can also filter the data, making it easy to focus on the conditions most relevant to your research.
NEW TABLE BUILDER
AI Assistant now available on duplicated tables
You can now use the AI Assistant to modify duplicated tables. Just describe the adjustments you want, in your own words, and the AI Assistant will do the rest.
Working from a duplicated table is a quick way to build multiple variations of similar tables without starting from scratch. You can duplicate saved tables from your Saved Items under the Dashboard.
The AI Assistant is currently in beta, and availability may vary depending on your organization’s settings as it rolls out. Learn more.
IMPROVED TABLE BUILDER
Meet the AI Assistant: a faster way to build and refine tables
We’ve launched a new AI Assistant to help you create tables from a single question. Now, you can get started without learning about our data structure or picking a single filter. Just describe what you’re looking for, and the AI Assistant will build a table to match.
The AI Assistant is currently in beta, and availability may vary depending on your organization’s settings as it rolls out. Learn more.
NEW TABLE BUILDER
‘Select All’ is now available across more Table Builder filters
Filters in Table Builder now include a Select All option, enabling you to capture every relevant result in one step instead of selecting items one by one. Available across 17 filters, this update makes it easier to work with variations in disease names, drug names, or ID numbers. Use the search bar when provided, to type as few as three characters—like “ace”—and quickly add all matching results at once. This ensures you don’t miss relevant data, while saving you time as you build and refine tables.
IMPROVED TABLE BUILDER
Add filters directly from Table Builder column headers
It’s now faster and easier to refine your table without ever needing to hunt for controls. Just hover over the column header that you’d like to filter and click the ‘add filter’ icon. The filter will pop open in the side panel for you to choose and apply your criteria. This change, when paired with the recent addition of filter indicators on column headers that enable quick filter adjustments, makes filtering Table Builder more seamless and intuitive.
FEATURE TABLE BUILDER
Take control of your table with clearer, more flexible filter options
Filtering in Table Builder is now more predictable and flexible. We’ve standardized and expanded the ways you can manipulate table data, giving you the power to zero in on exact matches, exclude specific values, or refine results by requiring groups of values to be present (or absent). Numerical and date filters also have a wider range of filter options for you to choose from. These changes make it easier to shape your tables to include precisely the data you need.
IMPROVED TABLE BUILDER
Quickly spot and adjust filters from column headers
You can now easily see which columns have active filters with a new filter icon that appears in the column header. Click the icon to adjust the filter in the side panel. This makes it easier to keep track of which filters are active and quickly refine your table without breaking focus.
FEATURE TABLE BUILDER
Prioritizing your feedback to build an even better DrugBank
We’re committed to building a product that not only meets your needs today, but continues to grow with you for years to come. To help us do that, we’ll be periodically gathering feedback directly within the product. You may see short opportunities to share your thoughts with us while you work. Your input will play a vital role in shaping our future.

NEW TABLE BUILDER
Sharper disease filtering makes your disease-focused research more efficient
We’ve improved how DrugBank distinguishes between real diseases and non-disease medical terms, so you spend less time sorting through irrelevant results. With 94% coverage across 162,000+ conditions and a more than 35% drop in unclassified concepts, your disease filters now deliver cleaner data, faster analysis, and more complete insights into drug–disease relationships.
IMPROVED DATA
Investigate drugs after their first mention in a clinical trial with new Exploratory cards
Get an early look at drugs shortly after they’re first mentioned in a clinical trial. Exploratory cards are ideal as a starting point to explore the related trials, conditions, phases, and sponsors of a novel drug. While these drug cards contain very limited information they can prove to be extremely insightful for early discovery.
NEW DATA
Quickly navigate drug data with DrugBank Card Types
We’ve introduced a drug data categorization system to make navigating our drug data easier. With three categories, exploratory, mapped, and enriched that each serve a unique research purpose, you can quickly identify the drug data that will best match your research needs. Card Types can be found on each drug card. Learn more.
FEATURE TABLE BUILDER
Filter out the noise of non-human related diseases with the new Smart Focus Table Setting
Dig into relevant human disease data without manually wading through distracting, unrelated information. Turn on Smart Focus: Human Diseases in the new Table Settings to have human disease data (e.g. Breast Cancer, Major Depressive Disorder, Influenza) prioritized and most non-human and non-disease data (e.g. anatomical terms, devices, procedures, study methodology) hidden.
