Why am I seeing gaps and inconsistencies in your drug data?

If you’ve been digging into our data you might come across missing or inconsistent sections. There are a number of reasons why that might be the case, here are the ones we’re currently aware of:

Known Limitations

Predicted ADMET Data: We've identified notable gaps in the ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity) predictions for newer compounds. These gaps stem from the continuous evolution of drug profiles and the introduction of novel compounds.

Pipeline Statuses: There are occasional inconsistencies and missing details in our designations of drugs as investigational, clinical, or approved. This variability can affect the accuracy of the drug development status displayed.

Grandfathered Drugs: Older, well-established drugs like levothyroxine sometimes show irregular data capture due to changes in data reporting standards over time.

BioTech Categories: We recognize gaps in our coverage of BioTech-specific categories, affecting the breadth of data available.

Vaccines: The representation of vaccines in our database is currently inconsistent.

Scheduled Improvements

We've prioritized improving BioTech categories and coverage first.
