Why are some rare diseases missing?

If you’re searching for Rare Diseases, you’ll notice that we don’t have full coverage of this area.

Known Limitation

Our coverage of rare diseases is based on FDA Orphan Designations. An Orphan Designation involves a Drug and Disease. If the Drug can be mapped to a DrugBank ID (DBID), and the Disease can be mapped to a DrugBank Condition (DBCOND), you’ll be able to find it in Table Builder flagged as a Rare Disease.

Workaround

You can use our Conditions filter to search for your disease of interest in Table Builder, or use our Disease Areas filter to help you find related conditions.
